Configure your mail settings
Overview
The SMTP server integration is used to forward reports either from the mailbox or through Inbound Processing.
If not configured correctly, message forwarding will fail.
⚠️ If you don’t have access to your company’s SMTP server settings, please contact your help desk.
How to Configure SMTP Server Settings
To configure the SMTP server in AbuseHQ:
- Open the Admin Portal.
- Click Settings in the left-hand menu under AbuseHQ.
- Make sure you’re on the General tab under System Settings.
SMTP Fields to Complete:
- Host Name
- Port Number
- Username
- Password
- Sender’s Email Address
- Click the Save button in the top-right corner.
Outgoing IP Addresses
When setting up firewall rules or whitelisting IPs, it’s important to know the IP addresses AbuseHQ uses for outbound communication.
Depending on your instance’s hosting location, the IPs may vary. Below are commonly used outgoing IPs:
- 18.193.183.51
- 52.57.46.129
- 18.158.191.233
Be sure to allow these IPs in your firewall configuration if needed.
