Abusix understands these needs and provides flexible, customizable data retention settings in AbuseHQ, allowing you to manage how long you keep the data that matters most—leading to more secure and compliant data management.

How to Change Your Data Retention Configurations

To access and adjust your data retention settings in AbuseHQ:

  1. Open the Admin Portal.
  2. Click on the Settings option under AbuseHQ in the main menu.
  3. Select Data from the System Settings menu.

After making your changes, click the Save Settings button to apply them before leaving the screen.

Data Retention Standards

📄 Report Retention

  • Definition: All reports sent to AbuseHQ about your network.
  • Max Retention: 365 days
  • Default: 30 days

⚡ Event Retention

  • Definition: Each incoming notification handled by AbuseHQ.
  • Max Retention: 365 days
  • Default: 30 days

Event data is often what customers choose to retain the longest.

👤 Subscriber Retention

  • Definition: Identifying data used to assign users to events.
  • Max Retention: 365 days
  • Default: 365 days

📂 Case Retention

  • Definition: All data incorporated in AbuseHQ cases.
  • Max Retention: 365 days
  • Default: 180 days

Case data often contains less relevant or time-sensitive information, so many customers reduce its retention.

📘 System Log Retention

  • Definition: Logs related to platform activity within AbuseHQ.

🌐 IP Retention

  • Definition: IP addresses associated with your network, configured in your AbuseHQ instance.

Delete All AbuseHQ Data

You can choose to delete all data stored in AbuseHQ, including:

  • Reports
  • Statistics
  • Contract data
  • Events
  • Cases
  • Subscriber data
  • System log entries

Additionally, you can reset:

  • Automation settings (Inbound Processing, Case Groups, Playbooks)
  • General settings
  • Integrations
