Customizing how long you retain your data can be done in the following steps.
How to change your Data Retention Configurations
To find your Data Retention settings, follow these steps:
- Click on your AbuseHQ username in the window's top right corner and select
Settings
.
This will bring you to the General options under the Settings
menu.
Here is where you will find the Data Retention options.
Once your changes have been made, click on the Save Settings
button before you leave this screen to apply those changes.
Our Data Retention Standards
Report Retention
Report data consists of all reports sent to AbuseHQ regarding your network.
The max time that AbuseHQ will store this data is 365 days; the default setting is 30 Days.
Event Retention
Each incoming notification that AbuseHQ handles is defined as an Event.
Event details are typically what our customers want to keep the longest. The max time that AbuseHQ will store this data is 365 days; the default setting is 30 Days.
Subscriber Retention
Subscriber data is the identifying data that AbuseHQ uses to assign a user to an event. The max time that AbuseHQ will store this data is 365 days; the default setting is 365 Days.
Case Retention
Case data comprises all of the details incorporated in an AbuseHQ case. Because most of the data in the case may need to be more relevant or important, our customers typically decide to shorten case retention. The max time that AbuseHQ will store this data is 365 days; the default setting is 180 Days.
