Configure your mail settings

Learn how to configure AbuseHQ to send out reports using your SMTP servers.

SMTP Server Settings

The SMTP server integration is used to forward reports from the mailbox or in inbound processing. If not configured properly, forwarding of messages will not work.

If you don't have access to your company's SMTP server settings, please contact your company's help desk.

How to Configure SMTP Server settings.


You will need to access this menu within the Admin Portal to add an account:

  1. Click the Settings option in the left menu under AbuseHQ.
  1. Verify you are on the General menu under System Settings.

Now that you are on the SMTP server settings page:

  1. Enter the Host Name and Port number.
  1. Next, enter the username, password, and the sender’s address.
  1. Finally, click on the Save button in the top right corner.

Knowing the IPs which make outgoing calls from AbuseHQ can be helpful when setting up firewalls, etc. Depending on the location where your instance is hosted, that IP will be different.
