# Outgoing IPs

### **Overview**

Knowing the [IPs](https://abusix.com/glossary/intrusion-prevention-systems/) that make outgoing calls from AbuseHQ can be helpful when setting up firewalls, etc. Depending on the location where your instance is hosted, that [IP](https://abusix.com/glossary/internet-protocol-address/) will be different.

Outgoing calls are, for example, calls to your API resolver or the webhooks you configured.
